Q. Do I have a chance to win a free Johnnie Walker 50ml miniature every time I play golf?

A. At the moment we will only be running the chance to win a Johnnie Walker miniature at your golf club bar when you play in your normal club day competition on Saturday. Saturday is the official Johnnie Walker Golf Club playing day.

Q. How will I know that I have won a Johnnie Walker 50ml Miniature?

A. If you are a member of the Johnnie Walker Golf Club and come 1st 2nd or 3rd in your home club’s Saturday club day competition and your club has posted the results of that competition into the www.golf.co.nz website then the Johnnie Walker Golf Club will automatically send you a voucher by email.

Q. Can I use my Johnnie Walker voucher in any bar?

A. No. Your Johnnie Walker voucher is only redeemable from the bar at the golf club you played at to win the prize.

Q. I only play on Wednesdays can I still win Johnnie Walker prizes if I come 1st 2nd or 3rd in Wednesday’s competition at my club?

A. Currently we will only be rewarding players in your club’s Saturday recognised club competition. We will however be expanding the opportunities available to our Johnnie Walker Golf Club members so please sign up so that we can keep you informed as to the new developments at the club.

strong>Q. What happens when I leave a club and join another club. Will my new club identify me as a Johnnie Walker Golf Club member?

A. No. You will have to join the Johnnie Walker Golf Club again from your new club.

Q. Can I give my Johnnie Walker voucher to a friend?

A. The Johnnie Walker voucher will identify you as the holder of the voucher and it is not transferable.

Q. Will I receive regular updates on new activities and competitions available to Johnnie Walker Golf Club members?

A. Yes. As a member of the Johnnie Walker Golf Club we will send you information by email regarding changes and new developments at the Johnnie Walker Golf Club. You can also visit www.johnniewalkergolfclub.co.nz for updated information.

Q. Do I need to tell you if I change my email address?

A. Yes. The only way we can send you reward vouchers is through the email address you originally supplied us when you registered to become a member of the Johnnie Walker Golf Club. If you change your address and we do not know then you will obviously not receive the voucher we send to you. You can click on the Members section and provide us with any changes to your email address. Please note that information you supply to us regarding your email address details will only be held by the Johnnie Walker Golf Club. No updated information will be forwarded to your golf club. If you wish to advise your golf club of any changes to your contact details you must do that directly with them.

Q. Can all golfers in New Zealand join the Johnnie Walker Golf Club?

A. All golfers with a registered handicap over the age of 18 can join the Johnnie Walker Golf Club however at this point only golfers who are members of golf clubs that post their competition results onto the www.golf.co.nz website will be able to win rewards. This is the only way that the Johnnie Walker Golf Club can obtain results of the club competitions you play in. These clubs are listed out on the registration page when you join the Johnnie Walker Golf Club. However the Johnnie Walker Golf Club will be expanding over time allowing more opportunity for its members to receive great offers and benefits so if your club does not post results you can still join the Johnnie Walker Golf Club as a non-playing member to be kept informed of new developments and offers which may well be available to you.

Q. My golf club bar does not have any Johnnie Walker 50ml miniatures in stock to reward me when I present my voucher. What should I do?

A. We will be keeping a record of Johnnie Walker prize stock held at your golf club. We will be restocking your club regularly with Johnnie Walker 50ml miniatures for Johnnie Walker Golf Club member prizes. Please retain your voucher and represent it when your club has been restocked. Please do not ask your bar for anything other than the designated Johnnie Walker miniature.

Q. My golf club has strict policies regarding the awarding of alcohol as prizes, consumption of prize alcohol on their premises or removal of alcohol from their premises. What happens to my Johnnie Walker 50ml miniature prize?

A. The Johnnie Walker Golf Club is rather unique in that it is a virtual golf club. As a member of the Johnnie Walker Golf Club we capture your Saturday score information from your golf club’s results posted onto the www.golf.co.nz site. The Johnnie Walker Golf Club rewards you with a prize if you come 1st, 2nd or 3rd in your own club’s Saturday competition. This prize is not created by your own golf club. We seek the co-operation of your golf club in the handing over your prize and the best place to store this prize is at your golf club bar. Your golf club bar will not be selling you the Johnnie Walker miniature and the miniature is not intended for sale. Your club is very generously facilitating the delivery of your prize on behalf of the Johnnie Walker Golf Club. Legally they are able to give you your prize as long as you are over the age of 18 and are not intoxicated. Whether or not they allow you to consume your Johnnie Walker on the premises or take it away from the premises (both of which are permissible under the law providing the club is confident you are over the age of 18 and not intoxicated) your own club policy in this regard will always prevail. If your golf club wishes to state that you may not consume your prize on their premises then that is their prerogative. If your club is able to part of but does not wish to be part of the Johnnie Walker Golf Club and does not wish to facilitate the delivery of Johnnie Walker prizes to you then regretfully you and your fellow club members will not be able to fully participate in this current Johnnie Walker Golf Club rewards scheme.
